Cubert parish

Cubert is an Ancient Parish in Cornwall; parish is named for St Cubert, 7th-century Welsh missionary traditionally said to have preached in area with St Carantoc; according to later tradition, Cubert founded church at highest point of parish before returning to Wales, where became abbot of monastery and died in 775; a holy well associated with the saint gave name to nearby village of Holywell
