LARGELY-ATTENDED FUNERAL
AT GWENNAP.
The esteem in which the late Mr. E. Beau-
champ Beauchamp was held was strikingly
testified on Saturday at the funeral at
Gwennap.
Preceded by the tenantry, the coffin was
borne on a hand bier from Trevince, the
family residence, to Gwennap Church, the
members of the family following on foot.
A very large number ot sympathizers joined
the procession as it crossed the road’ from
Treyince and entered the church precincts.
At the lych gate the cortége was met by
Canon H. H. Milis (St. Stephens-in-Brannel)),
Revs. J. L. Parker (Gwennap), J. O. Gunning
(St. Erme), H. C. Malton (Lanarth), and W.
W. Bickford (St. Day), and the surpliced
choir. There was a crowded congregation
at the service, which was impressively carried
out. The hymns, " Lead, kindly Light," and
“ Nearer, my God, to Thee,” were sung.
The mourners were Mrs. Beauchamp
(widow), Mr. C. H. Beauchamp (son), Miss
Beauchamp and Miss Viclet Beauchamp
(daughters), Mr. end Mrs. Templer (son-in-
law and daughter), Mr. end Mrs. Ralph
Gordon {son-iit-law and daughier), Col. Mar-
wood Tucker (nephew), Maj. Arthur Ford
(cousin), Mrs. C. H. Beauchamp (daughter-
in-law), Col. Marwood-Elton (cousin), Mrs.
Lionel Rogers (cousin), Mr. Lionel Rogers,
Mrs. Wayne (sisterin-law), Mrs. Arthur Tre-
mayne, Nuance Bridget (niece), Mrs. Neynoe
Willyams, Miss Willyams, Mr. W. T.
Lawrance, K.C., Mr. F. Parkin, Nurse Young,
Nurse Trewartha, Miss Michell, and house-
hold servants.

The burial took place in a walled grave,
which was lined with flowers and moss. In
addition to personal wreaths, tributes were
sent by the chairman, committee, and mem
bers of the Royal Western Yacht Club, the
indoor and outdoor staffs at Trevince, the
employés at Burncoose, the tenantry at St
Stephens, and the Camborne Divisional
Unionist Association.
