Valuable Freehold Estate, Farm, and Houses, let on Leases
for Lives.
MR. EDWARDS is instructed to SELL by
AUCTION, at the Union Hotel, Penzance, Corn-
wall on Thursday, the 19th day of August, 1869,
at Three o'clock in the Afternoon precisely, all that very
valuable Freehold Estate called
167 acres of excellent Tillage and Pasture Land, with a
Farmhouse and suitable Buildings in good repair thereon,
situate near the important port and town of Hayle, and
having many building sites, commanding beautiful views
over the estuary of Hayle and St. Ives bay ; in the occupa-
tion of Mr. C. Trewhella, yeoman, as yearly tenant thereof.
And also all those 26 newly-built and respectable
on the cliff, forming part of the said estate, and called
CLIFTON ; let to several tenants on leases for lives, on
payment of an annual conventionary rent, with heriot on
the death of each life; the whole producing a present
rental of upwards of £150 per annum.
Mineral lodes, which have been opened, and are believed
to be of great value, underlie the property, and the fore-
shore, which belongs to the estate, is extensive, and very
valuable for seaweed manure.
The property may be viewed by leave of the respective
occupiers; and particulars and conditions of sale, with a
plan of the estate, will shortly be ready, and may be seen
at the Cornish Copper Company’s Office, Hayle; at the
Union Hotel, Penzance; and at the Office of
Dated 13th July, 1869.
AND at the same time will be SOLD the sub-
stantial and commodious Mansion called
aspect, overlooking the Hayle estuary, containing spacious
dining and drawing rooms, library, eleven bed and dressing-
rooms, excellent kitchens, larder, dairy, and wine cellars ;
coach-house, stables, and other outbuildings and offices,
walled gardens (well stocked with fruit trees), and meadow
attached, situate close to the parish church of Phillack,
and within half a mile of the Hayle railway station.
