 Sir Humphrey Mackworth, an eminent lawyer, b.
Jan. 1657, knighted at Whitehall, 15 Jan, 1682; who m.
Mary, dau. and heir of Sir Herbert Evans, of Neath, Glamor-
ganshire, by his wife, Anne, dau. and co-heiress of William
Morgan, Esq. of Penerig House, in the parish of Lian-
henog, co. of Monmouth; by this marriage he became
possessed of large estates in Glamorganshire and Mon-
mouthshire, (in the latter county, on the Pencrug estate, is
situated Glen Uske, the residence of the present Sir Digby
Mackworth ;) he had issue, three sons and two daus.,
     Herbert, his heir.
     Kingsmiill-Evans, b. 2 Oct. 1688, at Neath; m. and left
          issue.
     William, b. 3 Nov. 1691, who took the surname of Praed.
          He m. Martha, dau. and heir of John Praed, Esq. of
          Trevathow, co, Cornwall, and left, with a dau., Ara-
          bella, who d. unm., three sons, viz.,
               1   Humphrey Mackworth-Praed, of Trewathow, [Trevethoe]
                    m.P. for St. Ives; whom. in 1746, the widow of
                    Sir Brian Broughton Delves, Bart., and dan, of
                    William Forrester, Esq. of Watling Street, co,
                    Salop, and left, with other issue,
                         William Praed, Esq. of Tyringham, in Bucks, a
                              banker in London, and m.P. for St. Ives up to
                              1806 ;  m. and had issue.
               2   Bulkeley Mackworth-Praed, Esq., d.s. p.
               3   William Mackworth-Praed, Esq., m. Susan Stokes,
                    and left issue, one son and three daus.,
                         William Mackworth - Praed, serjeant-at-law ;
                            m. and had issue.
                          Juliana, m. T..W. Shore, Esq.
                          Susan, m. T. Smith, Esq.
                         Arabel, m. John, Earl of Mayo.
