William Williams of Trewirgie, Probus, gentleman; being nephew of John Williams deceased, in performance of the pious good and charitable intentions of John Williams his uncle, and of the commands of his uncle, and towards the better maintenance of a person in perpetual succession, who is to be a graduate of arts or able and well and sufficiently qualified to keep and teach a grammar school, to the intent that the school, for the better learning, instruction and education of scholars, shall by such schoolmasters be continued at some convenient place in Probus churchtown; scholars to be taught there according to the use, method and discipline of a grammar school; and in order to elect master and scholars, and in performance of John Williams' will, bequeathing 40 shillimgs yearly to be paid as salary to schoolmaster
