Agreement by John Tregian of Wolvedon, esquire with Wymond Carew of Antony, gentleman; manor of Lytle Devyoke; manor of Landegey; Tregian was receiver of the Duchy of Cornwall but surrendered this office to Carew ; cost Tregian in money advanced 1000 marks sterling `for fyve yerys day of payment'

Agreement by John Tregian of Wolvedon, esquire with Wymond Carew of Antony, gentleman (Recital that Tregian by deed of even date bargained and sold to Carew for 400 marks sterling the manor of Lytle Devyoke. Tregian by statute staple of same date bound to Carew in sum of 400 marks sterling. By deed also of same date Carew bargained and sold to Tregian for 600 marks sterling the manor of Landegey. Carew by statute staple of same date bound to Tregian in sum of £400 sterling for performance of same. The said bargain sale and exchange of londe was made because Tregian was receiver of the Duchy of Cornwall but surrended this office to Carew, and it cost Tregian in money advanced 1000 marks sterling `for fyve yerys day of payment' and Tregian refused award of 500 marks for this which he (Tregian) has now accepted. In addition Tregian has paid Carew 100 marks sterling in recompense of woods then growing in manor of Landegay which Tregian and his heirs are to hold forever.
