This is the Last Will and Testament of me Anne Ellen Vawdrey of the parish of Gwinear in the County of
Cornwall Spinster hereby revoking all other Wills by me at anytime heretofore made I devise give and
bequeath all my estate both real and personal in manner as follows that is to say as regards my personal
effects of all kind whatsoever I give them after my decease to my Mother Elizabeth Vawdrey for het own
use absolutely And with respect to my real Estate my Will is that my mother the aforesaid Elizabeth
Vawdrey shall enjoy all the rents income and proceeds of the same for the term of her natural life after ,y
mother’s decease I Will that no Sale be made of my Freehold Estate or any part thereof but that the rents
income and proceeds arising there from shall be divided in equal portions between my

three Sisters namely Elizabeth Vawdrey of the parish of Gwinear in the County of Cornwall Spinster Esther
Parry of the same place, and Mary Ley of the parish of Phillack , on the death of either of my said Sisters
her part of the rents and proceeds of my real estate shall be equally divided between the two surviving
sisters and on the decease of either of these two the survivor shall enjoy the whole during the term of her
natural life ,and on the death of the last survivor of these three Sisters I give and bequeath the said rents
income and proceeds of my real property to the lawfully begotten children of my Brother George Vawdrey
and the children of my Brother Alexander Allen Vawdrey to be divided amongst them in equal portions how
Many so ever that may be And I hereby constitute and appoint my Brother William Vawdrey to be the sole
Executer of this my Will desiring that he will see all my just debts funeral and Testamentary expences paid
out of my personal property which I may leave at the time if my death in witness whereof I have hereto
affixed my seal and signature this sixth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and forty eight nine

Vawdrey in out presence ,who at her request and in the presence of each other have hereto subscribed our
names this Day of One thousand eight hundred and forty eight (sic)

Appeared personally William Vawdrey of the parish of Phillack in the County Of Cornwall Gentleman and
made oath that he is one if the subscribed witnesses to the Last Will and Testament of Anne Ellen Vawdrey
late of the parish of Gwinear, now hereunto annexed beginning thus “this is the Last Will and Testament of
me Anne Ellen Vawdrey “ending thus “I have hereto affixed my seal and signature this sixth day of January


in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine “ and thus subscribed “Ann Ellen
Vawdrey “And that this deponent Richard Murley John Hockin and James Rogers the other subscribed
witnesses to the same Will , were present at the same when the said deceased on the sixth day of January
1849 wrote and subscribed her name to the said Will and this Deponent and the said Richard Murley John
Hockin and James Rogers subscribed their names thereto ,in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each
other ,as witnesses thereof And deponent further Saith that having now inspected the said Will and
observed the word “eight” obliterated at the conclusion thereof and the word “nine “ written in lieu
thereof and also observed the blanks in the date of the attestation to the said Will says that such
obliteration was made if the word “eight” and the word “nine” substituted in lieu thereof prior to and the
said blanks were left in the said attestation at the time of the execution of the said Will and as the same
now appears –

On the twenty eight day of May 1856 the says William Vawdrey was duly sworn to the truth of this Affidavit
at Penzance in the County of Cornwall Before me John Wallis Official

Proved in Common from the 28th day of May 1856 before John Wallis Clerk A.M
Official. And Admion of all and singular the Goods& of the said deceased and any
Way Concerning the said Will was granted to William Vawdrey the brother of the
Said deceased and sole Executor named in the said Will –
