Hockin William: son of William Hockin, rector of Phillack, Cornwall (and Peggy, daughter of Rev. Anthony Williams). Born there (Oct 20 1804), School, St Paul's seven years, under Dr Sleath. Age 19. Admitted pensioner, Dec. 18, 1822.
B.A. 1827. Solicitor at Penzance, and afterwards at Truro. Marries, 1840, Joanna Phillips, daughter of James Tilly, Esq. Died Ap. 10, 1874, at Strangways, Cornwall: buried at Truro.
