Native Silver In Quartz
ID: CC3060Excellently curved wire formations of Native Silver to 4mm are seen abundantly lining a cavity measuring 3cm x 1.5cm in vein-Quartz. The Native Silver is associated with cleavages of Argentiferous Galena from Wheal Herland, Cornwall, England. (A mine well known amongst British mineral collectors for the brief encounter of a limited orebody rich in silver species. The Silver deposit occurred at the intersection of the Convocation cross-course vein and the main Manor Old Lode in 1799, there was also similar occurrence in the Rusty cross-course). A rare specimen of Native Silver from this old Copper mine.
