DEATH OF MR. EDWIN HOSKING

A prominent local agriculturalist.

A  well-known figure has passed from the local farming community  in  the  death of Mr. Edwin Hosking, of Ludgvan, and Hayle, who died on Friday at the age of 77 years.

Mr. Hosking farmed Rosevidney, Ludg-van, for about thirty-two years. Retiring some twelve years ago, he purchased Pul-sack Manor, Hayle, where he had resided with his  son,   Mr.  Edwin   Hosking,   jun., till the time of his death.

He  had five children,  one  of  whom —- a daughter—-died when a child. Besides his son, there are three daughters, Mrs. Willie Sandow, of  Trembethow,   Lelant, Mrs. Frank Mann, of Reyleigh, Essex, and Mr*. Lewis Palmer, of St. Just.

His wife, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hosking, predeceased him.

Mr. Hosking was taken ill about a fort-night ago. but apparently recovered, and was progressing well until he relapsed into a state of coma on Thursday.   The end came just before midnight on Friday.
