Smell of Smoke Awakens
Family
Camborne and Redruth N.F.S. were called to a fire at Pendarves Home Farm, Camborne, early on Thursday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Tripp Powning, and their daughter, the occupants, were awakened by the smell of smoke.
They discovered that fire had broken out in a workmen's restroom in the midst of a large block of buildings adjoining the farmhouse and including a carpenter's shop and stables.
Firemen had the outbreak under control in an hour, though the roof of the rest-room fell in and the room itself was gutted.
