Ancient trackway - Baripper, St Ia chapel, Pendarves
"Ancient tin streaming that was destroyed when the grounds of Pendarves
were formed and rivers diverted.
The nearby Quoit and possible stone
circle are related.
Supposedly an ancient track ran through heading to
Baripper, before splitting with one path heading to St Micheals Mount
and the other heading to St Gothians at Gwithian.
The remains of St Ia
chapel (the Saint for St Ives) are further up stream in the woods near
Praze and by a waterfall, sited next to the ancient track to increase
footfall.
