Gwithian - A Good Family Living | The Cornish Telegraph | 8 Dec 1869

The consolidated rectory of Gwithian and Phillack, or the rectory of Phillack, with the chapelry of Gwithian, has been in the Hockin family above century. William Hockin was instituted July 9th, 1763; William Hockin, his son, July 6th, 1809; and the present rector, the Rev. Frederick Hockin, grandson of the first William Hockin, August 30th, 1853. The tithes of Gwithian are commuted at £235.
