HAYLE - On Saturday last, as Mr. Henry Huthnance, junr. of Drannack, Gwinear, was driving a load of hay from his farm to Copper House, on ascending Nanpuska Hill, Phillack he saw a fox crossing the road a short distance before him appa-rently going lame, which induced Mr. Huthnance to give chase. Reynard turned on his pursuer, and when within a short distance made a sudden spring at him, but Mr. H. struck him a violent blow across the nose with the handle of his whip, which com-pletely stunned him, and before he could recover, Mr. H. seized him by the hind part of his neck, put him in a bag and sent him home alive. It is a bitch fox about two-thirds grown.
