An Inquest was held the " Angarrack Inn, " Angarrack, on Monday [28 March 1898], concerning the sudden death of Edith Ivy Cook, aged seven months, daughter of Mr. William George Cook, of Back-lane, Angarrack. About three weeks ago the child suffered from inflammation of the lungs and was attended by Dr. T. Mudge, of Hayle.  She recovered and all went well until Thursday, when she again became ill. Her mother applied linseed poultices but without relief. On Friday, about 4 o'clock, she dressed for the doctor, but, before she had left the house, the child expired. The jury, with Mr. James Richards, undertaker, as foreman, returned a verdict of death from natural causes.
