ANGARRACK.—Friday the 25th, was a red-letter day in
the history of Methodism in this village.   Mr J. Daddow,
district lay missioner, paid the society a farewell visit,
having finished on the previous evening a two weeks’
mission at Copperhouse since he left Angarrack, when we
rejoice to state that the good work has continued to go on.

At a public meeting held in the evening, Mr T. H
Colenso, presided.   After the chairman’s address, Mr W.
Varker, secretary of the mission, gave, a statement
that on the mission fund there was a small balance in
hand.   He stated the gratifying fact that 47 had given in
their names as having experienced conversion during the
mission, 50 per cent, of them being married people.   Mr
Varker enforced the necessity of unanimity in spirit and
effort for the further extension of work, and arrangements
have been made for continuing the mission during
the next two weeks.   A sound practical address, followed from
Mr R. Crispin, after which Mr Daddow gave a thrilling
account of his struggles and triumphs in his work before
and since his separation entirely for mission work, in
which sphere his labours have been signally owned of God
by the conversion of many souls in every place where he
has been.   Then all hearts were cheered by yet another conversion,  and the meeting was brought to a close by prayer
by Mr J. Roberts, sen., leader and society steward.   The
meeting was preceded by a thanksgiving tea for the
rich harvest of souls.” took place in the old chapel
and about a 100 sat down.   Mr Daddow left on Saturday
for Trenalee, in the Bodmin circuit, followed by the
prayers of very many and especially the converts to
whom he endeared himself very much.
