Private E. H. Whear, Northumberland.Fusiliers, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Whear, of Ivy Mount, Angarrack, Hayle, wounded in France on June 5th | 21 Jun 1917

HAYLE. Monday's casualty lists included the name of Private T. Prisk (Machine Gun Corps), of Hayle, who has been wounded. Private E. H. Whear, Northumberland Fusiliers, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Whear, of Ivy Mount, Angarrack, Hayle, was wounded in France on June 5th in his right arm with a piece of shrapnel. He was in the thick of the recent heavy fighting and met the Germans in several severe engagements. Private Whear is well-known in the district and previous to joining the forces was employed by Mr. Blamey, of Nanpuska Farm. He has another brother serving in Salonica
