Mellinoweth mine (Mellanoweth Mine, Wheal Margot, Wheal Maggot, Angarrack Consols, Wheal Rose
Tree: AHP
Notes:
Mellanoweth mine, also knon as wheal margot (1808) angarrack consols (1853) and wheal rose, was working in 1836 in conjunction with coldharbour (31834) and trungle mines (b6). There is come confusion in the smr records as to the exact location of mellanoweth mine. Pascoe lists the site as at sw 5880 3820 (b7) while the industrial smr places it at sw 588 379 on the south side of angarrack valley. The latter place is more likely: pascoe's location is most probably part of the coldharbour sett (b8). Mellanoweth mine was worked for copper (b1).
