Carharrack
Fore St, Carharrack, Redruth TR16 5QS
Carharrack is a relatively new village. It was created around the 1820 mark, but had previously been a hamlet called Carharrack Gate.
The hamlet consisted of no more than 12 cottages during the 1700's, but major developments came about as a result of the mining boom. The Consolidated Mines employed more than 3000 people at one time. Local accomodation was at a premium.
