Devonport, and in 1912. on the occasion of his marriage, was recommended by the rector (Chancellor S. G. Ponsonby)the late Sir T. Fowell Buxton. Bart., by whom he was appointed to the curacy-in-charge of Upshire. Essex, where he remained until 1917. During the past three years he has been assistant curate at Phillack-cum-Gwithian. and assistant master at Hayle Grammar School. He hopes to take up his residence at Cury at the end of April.

On Wednesday evening at Mylor parish church the Rev. William Valentine Wagner was instituted vicar of the parish by the Bishop of Truro (Dr. J. W. Hunkin).
The new incumbent was formerly vicar of Cury. and is the son of Mr. W Wagner, late headmaster for many years of Hayle Grammar School.
Among the clergy present were the Archdeacon of Cornwall (Canon G. W. Hocklcy), Revs. G. C. D. Young (outgoing vicar), Doudnev (Budock), A. H. Bimder (Rector of Phillack), and Dr. Harold Ford.
