Jennifer was born in 1857 and was baptised at Gwithian Parish Church on the 12th October 1859.

Jane married Stephen Barnes on the 24th May 1879 at the Wesleyan Chapel at Wall. Stephen was 22, a mariner and his father was William Barnes (dec?d) who had been a miner. Stephen was living at Angarrack. Jane was living at Connor Downs. Stephen signed and Jane made her mark.
