Extant miniature castle built as a dwelling in 1835 including a tower and chapel, the family reputedly being devout Roman Catholics.
The plot was leased from Richard Lomax who at the time was involved in the expansion of Newquay harbour. A Mr. Gregor of the Trewarthenick Estate took the lease and set about building the house and chapel, which was then used as a holiday home.
In 1868 the lease was bought by Sir Paul William Molesworth who was married to Jane Francis Gregor (daughter of Gordon William Francis Booker Gregor). Sir Paul died at the Tower in 1889 aged 68.
In 1906 Dame Jane Francis Molesworth sold the Tower in consideration of £1500 to Mr. John Simmons Tregonning, eventually passing into the Treffry Estate.
