  [S200] misc internet. Nellie Kelynack Michell (b1869) and her son James Kelynack Michell, taken in 1892. Nellie Kelynack met John Trewartha Michell while working on the Morrab Road in Penzance (so the story goes). He and his father were building contractors of some sort. I have not been able to find out details about who built the road. Nellie and John married in 1885 at Penzance. Their first child was Annie Trewartha in 1886. They emigrated to New York City in 1886. Annie died there of a childhood illness. Nellie returned to Cornwall before July 1886, after telling her husband she was not going to lose another child in a strange place. My grandfather was born in Newlyn on 9 July 1887. Nellie died when my grandfather was a small boy. I have not been able to find any death information. My grandfather was raised by Nellie's mother, Ellen Beadon Kelynack, along with Mary Jane Kelynack, Nellie's sister.
